Oversized picture frames in Manhattan
Big pieces carry a room, and they ask more of a frame. Bring your large canvas, poster, map or statement piece and we will size it properly.

Why large work is different
A frame that looks right at a small size can look thin on a large piece, and it has more work to do. A big frame carries more weight, has longer sides to keep straight, and needs a moulding that suits that scale. The glazing matters more too, since a large sheet catches more of the room's reflections.
What to think about
- The moulding. Wider profiles usually suit bigger work, though the piece decides.
- The glazing. Weight and reflections both grow with size, so ask about non-glare glass and acrylic.
- The route home. Measure your doors, stairs and elevator before you commit, as New York apartments have strong opinions about large objects.
- The wall. Know what the wall is made of and how the piece will hang.
How it works
Bring the piece in if you can, or call first if it is hard to move. A photo and rough measurements help us have a useful first conversation. From there, the process is the same as any custom framing project: choose the moulding, mat and glazing against the work, then we build the frame.
What it costs
Size is the biggest factor, along with moulding and glazing. Call (212) 831-2224 with your measurements and we can talk through options.
